
Adam O’Neal’s education consisted of years at Pungo Christian Academy and graduation from John A Wilkinson High School in Belhaven, North Carolina. After high school Adam attended and graduated North Carolina State University with a business management degree in 1991. Adam began his career in the financial services industry with The Franklin in 1991. Adam was recruited into an elite marketing trainee program for The Franklin which was to train future regional managers. Adam was 1 of the 7 members in the national program. In the 7 years with The Franklin, Adam was named District Manager of the Year 2 times and a Legion of Honor Award winner twice. After also leading the marketing trainee program in production for 4 of the 7 years, Adam was invited to join the home office staff in Springfield, IL. Instead of joining the home office Adam decided to become an independent securities and insurance broker and stay located in his hometown of Belhaven. Adam saw the value of being able to represent more than one company when dealing with clients. As an independent broker Adam has won many national awards. Some of these awards include; the National Quality Award and Sales Achievement Award from Life Underwriters, Gold level producer with Woodbury Financial, Gold Club Producer with Allianz Life for multiple years, Gold Eagle Producer with American Equity, FMDC Conference Qualifier Multiple Years, and Captains Award with The Hartford.
Adam is a lifelong citizen of Belhaven, North Carolina and also currently serves as its Mayor. He has served in this capacity since 2005 and has overseen almost 30 projects in the town’s recent renaissance. He is also on the Board of Directors of Electricites. Adam also owns a real estate company called United Country O’Neal and Associates.
